JBL Flip 6: clear

The sound of the JBL Flip 6 can compete with that of the Charge 5. The speaker has a 2-way system with a woofer for the low tones and medium-range tones, and a separate tweeter for the treble. This way, the speaker produces a clear sound with a low and high volume. Thanks to the double passive radiators, you can enjoy a deep bass.

The JBL Charge 5 produces a clear sound with more bass than with the Flip 6. The JBL Charge 5 still sounds clear at a high volume, thanks to the separate tweeter and double bass radiators.

The JBL Xtreme 3 is the real powerhouse of the bunch. This speaker is mainly suitable for you when you find the bass important. Thanks to the medium size of the JBL Charge 5, you can easily take it with you in your backpack. The speaker has the ideal size for a day at the park or the beach.

Xtreme 3: design

You can control the JBL Flip 6 with the buttons on the top and bottom. The buttons to control the volume, pairing to other speakers, and skipping songs are at the top. The on/off button and the Bluetooth button to connect your phone are on the bottom.

The buttons of the JBL Charge 5 and the JBL Xtreme 3 look the same and are all n top of the speaker. Via PartyBoost, you can connect multiple JBL speakers with each other for a higher volume. Are you at the park and is your phone out of power? Via the USB port of the speaker, you can charge your device.

JBL Xtreme 3: buttons on the top

Just like the Charge 5, you can control the speaker via the buttons on the top. This speaker also allows you to charge your phone via the USB port. The carrying strap of the JBL Xtreme 3 has a useful bottle opener.

The Flip 6 and Charge 5 are easy to take with you in your bag on a day trip. The Xtreme 3 has a more powerful sound, but it isn't as easy to carry around the whole day. All 3 speakers are suitable for a day at the beach, park, or pool, thanks to the IP67 certification. If you want more portability, the Flip 6 and Charge 5 are a good choice.
