Design

Fitbit Luxe appearance

Fitbit Luxe: luxurious and stylish appearance

The Fitbit Luxe has a chique stylish appearance thanks to the stainless steel watch case. This case shines even more than the plastic watch cases from the Inspire 2 and Charge 4. In addition, you can easily replace the silicon straps from the Luxe with a metal link strap or a Milanese watch strap. This makes the Fitbit Luxe suitable for both in the gym and for the office or parties. The straps also fit better and nicer to the watch case than with previous activity trackers.

Fitbit Inspire 2 appearance

Fitbit Inspire 2: refined and low profile

The Fitbit Inspire 2 is very similar to the Fitbit Luxe. The trackers are about the same width, but the Inspire 2 has a plastic watch case. The watch weighs less because of this, but it also has a less luxurious appearance than the Luxe. With a metal watch strap, you can change the appearance of the Fitbit Inspire 2 in no time.

Fitbit Charge 4 appearance

Fitbit Charge 4: wider than the others

The watch case of the Fitbit Charge 4 is wider than the one of the Luxe or the Inspire 2. The activity tracker is also slightly more angular in shape than the other Fitbit activity trackers. The standard silicone strap is water-resistant and easy to clean. You can give the Charge 4 a more chic appearance with a leather watch strap, for example.

Screen

Fitbit Luxe color screen

Fitbit Luxe: first color screen

It's a first for Fitbit activity trackers, a color screen. The Fitbit Luxe has a bright AMOLED color screen. You can clearly see your health information and messages on this.

Fitbit Inspire 2 black and white screen

Fitbit Inspire 2: slim black and white screen

Because the Fitbit Inspire 2 is a slim activity tracker, the screen is also slim. You can still easily read your messages and information on it. This screen is black and white, unlike the Fitbit Luxe.

Fitbit Charge 4 black and white screen

Fitbit Charge 4: wider black and white screen

Thanks to the slightly wider watch case, the screen of the Charge 4 is slightly wider than the Inspire 2 and Luxe too. This means you can possibly read the screen more easily than with the Inspire 2 or Luxe. The screen of the Charge 4 is black and white too, just like the screen of the Inspire 2.

Battery life

Fitbit Luxe side

Fitbit Luxe: up to 5-day battery life

Even though the Fitbit Luxe has the same functions as the Inspire 2, the battery life is less. You can use it for 5 days maximum before you have to charge the tracker again. The color screen is the reason for the shorter battery life. This uses more energy than a black and white screen, like the screen on the Inspire 2.

Fitbit Inspire 2 side

Fitbit Inspire 2: up to 10-day battery life

Because the Inspire 2 has a black and white screen and doesn't have advanced sensors or functions, this tracker can last up to 10 days on 1 charge. That's the longest of Fitbit's 3 activity trackers. So you don't have to worry your Inspire 2 will suddenly turn off during a walk.

Fitbit Charge 4 side

Fitbit Charge 4: up to 7-day battery life

When it comes to battery life, the Fitbit Charge 4 falls between the Inspire 2 and the Fitbit Luxe. Depending on how intensively you use the tracker, you charge the battery of the Charge 4 after a maximum of 7 days. The battery life is slightly shorter than the Inspire 2, because this activity tracker has more advanced functions.

Health functions

Fitbit Luxe sensor back

Fitbit Luxe: stress and heart rate measurement

With the Fitbit Luxe, you can track your daily steps, stress level, and heart rate. Thanks to the breathing and mindfulness exercises on the Fitbit Luxe, you can reduce your stress level when it's too high. The Fitbit Luxe also tracks your sleep. You can easily find all the health data in the Fitbit app. And you'll receive 6 months of Fitbit Premium for free when you purchase the Fitbit Luxe.

Fitbit Inspire 2 sensor back

Fitbit Inspire 2: daily activity measurement

The Fitbit Inspire 2 and the Fitbit Luxe have the same health functions. This means the Inspire 2 also measures your sleep, stress, and heart rate. The Inspire 2 includes 12 months of Fitbit Premium for free. With this service, you'll get extensive health reports and advise on how to improve your health.

Fitbit Charge 4 sensor back

Fitbit Charge 4: oxygen saturation and skin temperature measurement as well

The Charge 4 is the most advanced activity tracker of the 3 when it comes to health functions. In addition to the functions that both the Inspire 2 and Luxe have, the Charge 4 measures the oxygen level in your blood. This information gives an indication of your natural resistance and if you maybe have something going on. The tracker also measures your skin temperature, which is also an indicator on your natural resistance.

Fitness functions

Fitbit Luxe sports

Fitbit Luxe: silicone straps and completely waterproof

The metal straps for the Fitbit Luxe are very beautiful, but not suitable for the gym. That's why each Fitbit Luxe has a silicone strap by default. In addition, this activity tracker is completely waterproof, so you can keep it on during your workout or in the shower. The Fitbit Luxe doesn't have a built-in GPS sensor, so you'll have to bring your phone during a run if you want to track your route.

Fitbit Inspire 2 sports

Fitbit Inspire 2: completely waterproof

Just like the Fitbit Luxe, the Inspire 2 has a silicone strap by default. This strap is easy to clean after your workout and you can keep it on in the shower or when you go swimming. The tracker measures your active minutes and reminds you to exercise enough. In the Fitbit app, you can see all your workouts and sports data in 1 overview. The Inspire 2 doesn't have a built-in GPS sensor. You'll need your smartphone to track your route when you go for a walk.

Fitbit Charge 4 sports

Fitbit Charge 4: built-in GPS and music controls during training

The Charge 4 is the only Fitbit activity tracker with built-in GPS. This means that the Charge 4 tracks your route by itself, so you can leave your smartphone at home. If you like to listen to music while running, you still have to bring your smartphone with you. You can use the Charge 4 to skip a song or pause your music.

Conclusion

Conclusion

With the arrival of the Fitbit Luxe, there's an activity tracker for everybody. People who like to track their daily steps, but don't want to compromise on style choose the Fitbit Luxe. If the look of the activity tracker isn't the most important for you, choose the Fitbit Inspire 2. Do you want to get more out of your workouts and a more accurate insight into your health? The Fitbit Charge 4 is the most suitable for you.
