How do you choose an Iiyama public display?
Choose an Iiyama public display
Ask yourself the following questions when choosing the best display for you:
- What size should the display be?
- What resolution should the display be?
- Do you want extra functions, like smart functions or a touchscreen?
- How many burning hours per day will the display have?
- How do you set up your display?
How large should the screen be?
There's a great difference between small and large Iiyama public displays. Do you want to use your display in a small room with a viewing distance up to 2m? A smaller display will be good enough, from about 30 to 45 inches. Displays between 55 and 65 inches are more suitable for larger rooms with a viewing distance between 3 and 4m, like stores or lecture halls. If the viewing distance is 5m or more, choose a display of at least 75 inches.
Which sharpness should the screen have?
Most public displays by Iiyama have a sharp 4K resolution. These displays have a high image quality, so you can still see a lot of details from a greater distance. Is the sharpness of the display not as important to you? There are Full HD displays as well. With such a display, you'll have a less sharp image for an affordable price.
Do you want a display with extra functions?
Some Iiyama displays have extra functions. For example, do you like to take notes on the display with a stylus? Or do you use your fingers to swipe through the slides during a presentation? A public display with touchscreen is for you. Some displays have smart functions. In addition to various apps, you can manage all your commercials and other content from your screen. That's because the smart public displays by Iiyama have built-in content management software.
How long is your screen on for per day?
When you choose a display, make sure to check the maximum burning hours. This indicates for how long the display can be on without the risk of burning it in. In general, public displays don't burn in as quickly as televisions or monitors, for example. All Iiyama displays can be on for at least 16 hours per day. Is this too short for you? Choose an Iiyama display with a higher number of burning hours, like 18 or 24 hours.

How do you set up your display?
Do you want to mount your display to a wall or column? Make sure to check the size of the mount that you've purchased or are about to purchase. That way, you're sure your display fits on the mount. The connectors are important when you set up your new display too. Only smart displays by Iiyama have DVI and DisplayPort ports. If you need these ports, a smart public display is the best choice for you. All Iiyama displays have HDMI, VGA, and USB ports.
