For some time now I have been looking for a new refrigerator and freezer. The “American refrigerator” is my preference. The model and the possibilities appeal to me. Because it combines a spacious refrigerator with a spacious freezer.

But there is a huge selection, so which one should it be? I was very lucky and was allowed to test this LG. This way I could investigate whether my “dream refrigerator” was also a true dream, or whether it was perhaps a nightmare.
When unpacking it, I immediately noticed that this LG really has a lot of storage space! It is quite deep, which means that the baskets in the doors are also very wide. This means that you could easily place several packages in a row. Or a large box of eggs in there! (Do they have to go in the refrigerator or not?)

After starting up the refrigerator, I noticed that the system is very quiet. Especially in the beginning, such a refrigerator has to work really hard to reach a good temperature, but I did not hear this “hard work” at all. The Smart Inverter Compressor does its job fantastically!
The refrigerator cools very quickly and I could actually start putting things in the refrigerator and freezer after an hour.
I also eagerly used the “Super freeze” mode. The freezer then becomes a kind of “shock freezer” so that, for example, ice does not form crystals during freezing and vegetables remain “crisp” after they have been frozen and defrosted again. You have to switch this function on manually and it switches off automatically after 22 hours.

What I do experience as a small disadvantage is the fact that the refrigerator door has to be opened completely in order to open the bottom drawer, which means that there really has to be some space next to the refrigerator.

All in all, I am really in love with this user-friendly refrigerator, which you (almost) no longer have to worry about once it is connected. It may not be the “most economical” but the linear cooling perhaps makes up for this a little; This ensures that temperature fluctuations are minimal, meaning that fresh products such as fruit and vegetables have a much longer shelf life in the refrigerator, meaning you have to throw away less.

Recently I had the chance to try out this LG refrigerator and I would like to share my experience:

General:
The design of this refrigerator is really great. It is black with slightly lighter doors, which looks good. The water dispenser is also a nice improvement compared to older models, with a sleek design. Inside the refrigerator you will find a nice layout: the freezer has multiple shelves, of which the bottom two are drawers. In the cooling section you have a lot of space: spacious shelves and large door compartments, plus two drawers at the bottom.

Cooling:
The refrigerator has both linear cooling and a smart inverter compressor. This ensures that the cooling temperature is evenly distributed and that the intensity of the cooling adapts to the amount of content, which is really nice. This also makes the refrigerator relatively quiet and also more energy efficient. In my case the refrigerator is in the extension, but in the living room you can't hear it at all!

Water and ice dispenser:
The water and ice dispenser works really fantastic. It has three settings: water, ice and crushed ice, which I find very handy. The water comes through a filter, so it is always clean and fresh. It is good to know that you should replace the water filter after about every 6 months.

Conclusion:
In short, I am very satisfied with this LG refrigerator. The layout is super practical, the cooling is efficient and the use of the dispenser makes it all even easier. Definitely recommended!

We were able to test this refrigerator for a few days. The refrigerator is a very nice appliance and fits perfectly with any interior. The refrigerator cools well and products really stay fresh longer than in our own refrigerator. The layout is good and clear. There are drawers and deep shelves, where you can store a lot and still see everything. The lighting is very good and not too bright. The freezer compartment has antifrost, so the products are easy to recognize. In short, a good and nice refrigerator, which I will certainly recommend to family and friends.
