Second Chance Fitbit Charge 6 Black

With Fitbit Charge 6 I measure my steps and sleep and keep moving. This small smartwatch is suitable if you want to exercise more, but are not fanatical about sports. Fitbit works with Google, so you can use Google Maps on your Fitbit.

Format
This Charge 6 does not quite fit my narrow wrist of 14 centimeters in circumference. I leave some space between the watch and my wrist. The Charge therefore moves back and forth easily. This sometimes makes it difficult for me to press the button on the side.

Screen
The screen of the Charge 6 is the same size as the Charge 5, but I think it could be a bit larger. It has a bright color screen, so I can read everything clearly. When I scroll to the side, the screen does not always respond quickly.

Battery life
I charge the Charge 6 about every 5 days. I was sick during the test period, so I didn't exercise much. The more you exercise, the faster the watch runs out. In sports mode you use more battery.

Measure sleep
Fitbit is good at measuring my sleep quality. I wear the watch while sleeping. In the morning I can see how I slept and when I woke up in the Fitbit app on my smartphone. I think it is a disadvantage that you have to take out a Fitbit Premium subscription for extensive data about your sleep and stress levels.

Smart Functions
Fitbit now collaborates with Google. This means that I had to transfer my Fitbit account to my Google account. Otherwise I couldn't connect my Charge 6 to the Fitbit app. You can no longer use Fitbit without a Google account. This took some getting used to and installation took longer than I expected.

Google Maps
An advantage of the collaboration with Google is that Google Maps is included on the Charge 6. I activate Google Maps in the Fitbit app. If I activate a route on my smartphone, I get the directions on my Fitbit screen. This means I can leave my smartphone in my bag while cycling or walking.

Sport
A Fitbit is not for avid athletes. The Charge 6 works fine for my runs. The GPS is not always correct. I like that this Charge automatically tracks walks. I often don't think about taking a walk. So it is useful that Charge 6 does this itself. Throughout the day I receive notifications to exercise more.

I switched from Charge 2 to Charge 6. The Charge 6 looks more like a smartwatch because of the many extra functions compared to Charge 2. But, I only care about monitoring my heart rhythm and reading the time. After a few days, synchronization with Samsung Tab A8 was no longer possible. Been busy for an hour. Removed Charge 6 and registered again in app. Ultimately it worked, but the data from the past 2 days has disappeared. How is that possible? That data is still on the Charge 6. In other words, a bug in the app to only accept data after registration. And the app still sucks because you can't swipe from the heart rate graph from one day to the next/previous day. The battery percentage icon is much too small, although it is important to charge on time.
