When connecting the coffee machine, you immediately notice the large 5-inch touchscreen, a beautiful color screen that shows clear information and instructions. The Machine takes you step-by-step through the process during connection.

Once connected, you can make coffee and the EQ700 has a large selection of coffee products. 32 coffee varieties, from 10 different countries. In addition to the regular coffee varieties such as an Espresso, Doppia, Latte Macciato and a Cappuccino, in the "CoffeeWorld" menu you can choose an Italian Ristretto, a Colombian Cortado, a Kaapi from South India, a Portuguese Garoto and much more!

What is an important aspect in the coffee machine for us: the milk. Since Latte Macciatos and Cappuccinos are mainly served here at home, it must contain a lot of firm foam. This machine does that very well. Nice thick milk foam!
In addition, I mainly drink Espressos, but with the EQ700 I regularly make a trip to the Ristretto. Delicious strong coffee, as if you imagine yourself in Italy. Now the sun!

But that's not all, this machine can be operated with WiFi and an app. Now that seems very inconvenient, because you have to change the cup anyway, and that's right. However, there are a number of tricks. The playlist, an ideal tool in the app to draw up a list during birthdays for visitors with all the coffees that need to be made. Enter names in the playlist and send the entire list to the coffee machine. This will then remove each cup from the playlist and you can see for each cup who it is for.

In addition, the machine can be linked to Alexa and Google Home. This also allows you to send commands by voice. It may seem trivial, but I use it more often than I might think. When I get out of bed: "Alexa, tell my coffemachine to turn on", once downstairs I don't have to start up anymore, the machine is ready to use. Nice gadgets!

This machine replaces the EQ6 Plus for us and we were already very satisfied with it. A very big advantage of the EQ700 is the improved brew group. The turning mechanism is now at the top, making cleaning a lot easier! A larger water reservoir, but unfortunately a smaller drip tray. All in all, super happy with the device! Lots of options, great coffee and easy to use!

Wow, what a relief this machine from Siemens. Before this I also had a Siemens from the EQ6 series, but it started to get weird cures after more than 6 years. I've been hesitating to take a Jura, because especially the cleaning of the brew group and the inner part of my previous Siemens started to bother me. That was not an easy job and coffee residues were left everywhere. With Jura, you don't have to remove the brew group for cleaning. This has pros but also others. Finally opted for this Siemens, after having seen a number of reviews and videos. This machine offers many more options than the Jura. In addition, I found the appearance of the Jura a bit dated. You pay quite a lot of money for both machines and because this Siemens has just come out, that was ultimately the deciding factor.

Not a moment of regret!. Connecting with homeconnect is super easy and you can have the machine brew various coffee specialties via the app. You will also receive notifications for maintenance, for example. The display of this machine is nice and large and clearly legible. If you need to run a cleaning program, you will be guided through it step by step with text and images. How easy is that!

But .... now also cleaned the brew group for the first time .... what a relief that is! The steps are clearly shown, but what is most striking is that this brew group, and also the interior, is so much more user-friendly to clean. That Siemens didn't think of that before. Run a damp cloth along the inside, without all kinds of recesses, protrusions, etc. where coffee residues can remain. Ditto for the brew group. Kudos!

In retrospect, I am very happy that I chose this machine after deliberation. It is not cheap, but you do notice the difference with the EQ6 series. It makes delicious coffee, nice and hot and offers many options. The milk foam layer is perfect, so that you can serve a nice Cappuccino or Latte Macchiato.
