Bought because my piano quickly went out of tune since the heating was turned on: it quickly gets the humidity back to normal and my piano sounds a lot better. Mist is not annoying; can just stand on the floor. You can hear it a little.

Device in use for a few weeks now. Humidifies the space as promised, is easy to use. Although there is an anti-scale filter in it, I see a white haze on my furniture within 2 days. Unfortunately, the flame of the stove turns orange when using the device (even with the kitchen door closed), which is not pleasant to cook with and it is unclear whether this is harmful to humans or animals. Good ventilation solves the problem, but also immediately reduces the humidity. Advice received to use distilled water. The cheapest option I found costs €2.65 per 5 liters. The device uses about 4 liters per day here. That amounts to 6 jerry cans of distilled water per week at 2.65 each = €15.90! This is expensive and a lot of hassle. In addition, the limescale filter must be replaced between 15 and 90 days, depending on the hardness of the water. A filter costs about €20. If I had known all this in advance, I would not have purchased the device.
