Description

Finally benefit from the speed that provider gives me

  • Tri-band, and specific channel for communication from router to the Access Point (2nd Asus unit). This is especially recommended for a full wireless setup. Also 4 ports for Ethernet
  • Easy setup/management via app; also via web interface (https)
  • Options for detailed router settings (port forwarding, QoS, VPN, DDNS), but not necessary
  • Not cheap

Bought the 2 pack to enable Wifi on the 2nd floor wirelessly. Setup: router in the meter cupboard - with AP on the 1st floor. With my previous router, including an AP on the 1st floor, that didn't work enough. Now with the ASUS I have a sufficiently strong signal on the 2nd with a completely wireless installation (wireless backhaul). I did eventually choose to connect the Router and the AP wired (wired backhaul). In terms of placement and signal strength, that gives the best result in my house. However, all clients are always connected wirelessly. Speed: >350 Mbps via Wifi, both on the ground and 1st floor. On the 2nd floor, fluctuating between 150 - 280 Mbps on the 5Ghz band and 35-68 Mbps on the 2.4 band. I have a well insulated house, thick concrete floors. Floor covering: wooden planks, laid floating on a sturdy carpet underlay, built in 2005.

Best mesh system I've ever had

Very good Router, easy installation and very user-friendly. Range to another floor is a bit less, you really need the Duo Pack for this. Router App is fairly limited, a lot is possible via the web interface.
