Description

With the Alecto DVM-71, you're always in contact with your child. The baby monitor has a camera and a 2.4-inch color display. This allows you to let your little one sleep in his or her bedroom without worrying. In the meantime, you can do other jobs around the house. The parent unit turns on when your child makes noise. Via lullabies and the two-way audio, you can soothe your child without having to go to the bedroom. You can also place the DVM-71 in the playroom.

Decent picture, good sound but too loud.

The image quality of the camera is not very good but good enough for the purpose and to be expected for a product in this price range. The sound quality is very good. However, the difference between the highest and lowest volume level is very small, and for us the lowest level is still way too loud (if our daughter is chatting in bed, which she does quite loudly, we can't hear the TV properly). The connection also occasionally drops, with a very loud beep that cannot be turned down or turned off. What is also striking is that at twilight the camera does not know whether the IR lighting should be turned on or off, so it keeps turning on and off until it is dark enough.

A great baby monitor for the lower price.

  • Simple operation
  • Good range
  • The screen will not turn off by itself after a few seconds. This takes at least 5 minutes.

I like the baby monitor. It's simpler than our other baby monitors, but you pay less for it.
