- The access point is splash proof, so you can also mount it outside below a cover.
- This access point doesn't include a power adapter, so you need a PoE switch or PoE injector to power the access point.
- To take advantage of all of the improvements of WiFi 6, your devices have to support this.
Description
The Ubiquiti AP-U6-LR is an access point with a great range. As a result, you can provide a large hall or patio with WiFi. The UniFi 6 Long Range access point has an IPS54 rating, so you can easily mount it under a cover to provide your patio with WiFi. You can use one of the other U6 access points to provide indoor spaces with WiFi. Thanks to WiFi 6, you can go online with over 100 devices at the same time without the wireless network becoming unreliable. The speed is 2 times higher than that of WiFi 5, so all of your employees can work hybrid without any issues. You decide who's allowed to go online via which network and you can link multiple access points for coverage throughout the entire office. The access points work together via mesh, so you don't loose your connection.

The system is good, especially in terms of management. Please note that you need an OS console “Cloud key” for full management. The range is disappointing compared to my previous Ruckus access points.
