The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro allows you to monitor the area around your house day and night. This wired IP camera has 2 built-in spotlights with a bright light that you can set up yourself. It also has a loud siren to scare off intruders. Thanks to the spotlight, you can also see colored images in the dark in the Ring app on your smartphone. Via the app, you can choose if the camera records in Full HD or 2K resolution. With Full HD image quality, the camera battery lasts longer, but 2K footage is sharper. In comparison to the Plus, the Pro has three-dimensional motion sensor: it sees distance, speed, size, and direction. You can also decide in which zones the motion detectors are active. It also has Birds Eye View to receive even more precise motion notifications. And thanks to noise canceling during conversations, you can clearly hear what's happening. You do need a Ring Home subscription for cloud storage.

Like everything from Ring, installation is easy, everything you need is in the box and adding in the app is very smooth. I already had a Ring Floodlight, and bought a second one for the side wall, this one has apparently been further developed with a few subtle differences. Including an improvement of the 'temporary suspension system' for during assembly. In the old version it was still a metal hook, now it's a nylon ribbon, you don't have to loosen it anymore, it just goes into the housing when mounting. This continued development of the product can only be applauded, and can someone give the man who came up with the idea of that ribbon a Nobel Prize? What a relief to have your hands free when connecting the wiring !!! The zoning and intelligent detection work quite well and avoid a lot of false alarms.
