Description

This Arlo Ultra 2 4K Duo Pack includes 2 security cameras that record in very high 4K resolution and a base station. The viewing angle of 180 degrees makes it possible to see what's happening in large indoors or outdoor spaces. The HDR allows you to zoom in sharply on details. The cameras have a built-in siren and floodlight to scare off unwanted guests and it records in color in the dark. Because the camera works on batteries, you don't need to install them close to a socket. With average use, the battery lasts 6 months. Footage can be stored in the Arlo Secure Cloud, but you need a subscription for that. After a 30-day free trial, you pay € 4,99 per month. Or choose a subscription for maximum 4 cameras for € 11,99 per month. You can connect the IP cameras to different smart home platforms, like Google Assistant and Alexa.

Very happy with it, top product, except battery

  • Good quality images, good at night when the light comes on, reasonable if you turn off the light when there is movement.
  • Movement notifications and movement type classification is good
  • Many setting options, including that if you are at home at certain times you do or do not want to receive notifications, but do want to record (it was a puzzle).
  • Battery is a disappointment, about 10 days at high settings, 1 month at reasonable settings. Hopefully the outer cables will be available on Coolblue soon.

Overall it works great, reliable notifications, many setting options, easy to use. Battery and range are a bit disappointing, but there are solutions (positioning, power cables, extenders). A new Arlo app has recently been launched (separate from Netgear) and I have hope/expectation that we can see some nice improvements in the near future.

Very good camera with good range, nice picture and sound. But 2 of 3 cameras are already attached to a cable, because the battery is still disappointing
