The whole street is now full of "Smart" doorbells, our house was very noticeable with the bell without a camera and the cheap *Dingdong* sounds that you heard being played softly when you rang the doorbell. I hesitated for a long time, then read in and researched which smart doorbell best suited my requirements. - First and most important requirement was; absolutely no subscription. Because I'm not going to pay an amount every month to hang a bell on my house, bye. - Local storage, no images on a shady company server. Now it remains a product from China and notifications have to be sent over the internet, but you can easily have it locally on an SD card. If they're really that interested in my street, they'll just send a balloon. So I ended up with this Eufy Video doorbell via Tweakers. The answer to the question where to buy the doorbell had long been known; Coolblue! Received the Bell neatly at home the next day after ordering. Assembly is child's play, turn 2 screws in your window frame and you're done. I went for the wireless variant because we no longer have a weak current connection to the door. This means with a bit of luck, charging twice a year. Pairing with the Gong (dingdong device inside) was very easy and using the app is also simple. You can choose whether you want to receive notifications when the bell sees movement, or only when the doorbell rings. You can also set when the notifications should arrive; Only between certain times or when you are away from home. The bell also looks nice, unfortunately mine no longer because I let it bounce on the street when mounting, can happen. I also turned a screw at the top so that the bell is a little more difficult to steal from your door frame. After a week of using the bell, still very satisfied with it!

It is easy to install and it works as you would expect. Answering the doorbell remotely is super simple and I now always know who is ringing. It does take a while before the bell (even with a good WiFi connection) has set up a secure video connection. Sometimes the parcel deliverer is waiting for a while before we can talk to each other. Other than that, great product.
