Description

With the 4 different attachments of the Philips Lumea IPL 9000 Series BRI958/00, you can comfortably remove hair from your entire body. You'll receive a personal treatment plan in the accompanying app, so you can safely work towards a smooth skin that remains free from hair for up to 12 months. Thanks to the SmartSkin sensor, you won't have to look for the right settings yourself. The built-in skin sensor of the Lumea Prestige detects your skin tone and adjusts the light intensity accordingly. The 4 attachments each have their own shape, such as the attachment for the armpit with a hollow curve and the extra small, flat attachment for your face. Thanks to the special shapes, you can smoothly follow your contours and always stays in contact with your skin. After use, you can store the light-based hair removal device and the attachments in the luxurious storage pouch together.

Note: light-based hair removal works based on the contrast between your hair and skin tone. Because of this, most devices don't work on dark skin tones and aren't suitable for removing gray, white, or red hair.

Note: an IPL device isn't suitable if you're pregnant, take certain medications, or have freckles. Before use, read the manual to check if this product is suitable for you.

Okay, but not ideal

The product work. Let me start with that, but there are a lot of snags that make it not easy to use. For example, you should not use the device on tattoos and moles, nor should you flash over the same surface twice. In practice this is easier said than done. Especially if you want to treat larger surfaces such as your legs. I think that partly because of this not all my hair has been removed because I have used too little flash because sometimes you don't know whether you have treated an area or not. It also takes a lot of time. The device does not flash in quick succession, especially if it is not on the charger you can wait a long time until the next flash comes.

A lot of effort and money for little-no result.

  • Flashes of light are visible to the eye despite full skin contact

Doesn't really save time. Pretty exciting to use. Wonder if it's completely safe for your eyes (light flashes also with full skin contact). No/little hair removal result after the first few sessions. Device is not completely pain free if you have sensitive skin to heat.
