The Lumea has 5 intensity buttons. You can use this at your own discretion, but there is also a special button that scans your hair/home and then sets the correct intensity for you. The treatment is simple: place the Lumea against the skin, wait until the light on the back lights up and press the button to give a flash. This way you carefully go over the entire area to be treated. Obviously it is not as fast as shaving and requires a bit more precision. But it is painless. I have now done 2 treatments but I cannot yet say that I am seeing results yet. But this is not surprising because it can take a while before you actually see results. This depends per person. If you are looking for a quick way to remove hair, I would say: look further.

If that's not a problem for you, this is a good choice for home use.
