After having had a number of other subwoofers, this Yamaha has now arrived. Beautiful sound and warmer than the other woofers. Nice that there are multiple connections, I use the LFE. It turns itself on and off automatically and that setting works fine. If the radio is soft, then an extra bass is not necessary at all, then it will not turn on. As soon as the volume goes up, it turns on. Handy because with others I had that the bass dominated.

THE NS-SW300 is a sub that has a premium look and also delivers a premium sound. The bass sound is very clear with both movies and music. It has a button on the back so you can switch between movie or music mode. Since movies need different Bass settings than music, that's a welcome addition. The fact that you can control the sub wirelessly via the optional transmitter is also very handy, because you don't have all that cable hassle. That wireless works perfectly well, by the way, no disturbances in the sound have been observed so far. I use the NS-SW300 in combination with the YSP5600 which is really a perfect marriage sub really adds a lot the sound sounds a lot fuller with both movies and music. And it makes watching a movie much more vivid and intense. That also applies when listening to a piece of music, it's just like being in a live performance. With the NS-SW300, Yamaha has again a top product as we are used to from them.
