Description

The Marmitek IR Control 10 XTRA allows you to operate devices while they're behind closed doors in a cabinet. This way, dust doesn't stand a chance, and your devices are safe from pets or small children, for instance. Simply put the small IR module in a place where your remote has a signal, and position the extension cord sensor on the receiver of the devices you'd like to operate. The Marmitek IR Control 10 XTRA contains new interference suppressing technology. The receiver works on mains. With the Marmitek IR Control 10 XTRA, you can control 10 devices that are out of sight.

Finally the UPC media box from the living room

  • Works well
  • Easy installation; unless you want to extend the cable. Then you will have to solder.
  • Fairly pricey

Nice flat screen against the wall, but then you still have the media box that you have to leave somewhere. You can put a UPC card in the CI slot, but then you will not have all the functionality that the media box has. The Marmitek IR Control 10 Xtra was the solution. The receiver of the IR signal is now neatly concealed by the flat screen and the IR signal is forwarded via a CAT5 cable to the meter cupboard where I have the media box (and also the Apple TV). Two 10-meter HDMI cables go from the meter box to the back of the flat screen and you're done. No more ugly media box in the living room or an extra cupboard for this.
