The interchangeable plates make the sandwich maker very versatile. Not only can you make sandwiches with it, but you can also grill waffles and paninis. The plates are dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning extra easy. A small downside I think is that the power cable is a bit on the short side. If the socket is a little further away, this can be a bit inconvenient. The grilling time is also a bit longer than some may be used to, it takes a while before the sandwiches are golden brown. This sandwich/waffle maker comes with 3 plates. I started making waffles, mainly because my girls wanted to try it. Unfortunately I don't know at what temperature it is baked. I made Dutch and Liège waffles to test out different things. The sugar from the Liège waffles sticks to the non-stick coating and is easy to remove by loosening the caked-on sugar. So the non-stick coating does exactly what is needed, namely making cleaning easy. The plates are easy to change. For the sandwich plates. The disadvantage is that a regular sandwich does not fit in the iron. Casino bread only. The sandwich takes quite a long time to bake (8 minutes). Afterwards they are very nice and crispy. It takes time. The device has an on/off button. That's a really brilliant addition. You can simply turn off the device with a button, and not just by pulling out the plug. It is compact, consumes little power, and is versatile. A good choice for this price!
