Description
With the Fairphone 5 Protective Back Cover Green, you prevent scratches on the back and sides of your smartphone. The back cover offers fall protection up to 1.2m. This back cover leaves your screen open, so you can always quickly see your notifications and the time. The edges of the phone case stick out a little bit above your screen. This prevents scratches on the screen when you place the Fairphone 5 on a table with the screen facing down. The back cover is made from recycled materials. This means the back cover is better for the environment than most other cases.

The fit is not perfectly snug and the fingerprint sensor is less usable. This is actually unacceptable for a proprietary case. Ultimately, it ends up in the trash after 3 months, which does not contribute to the goal that fairphone strives for.

Could have had a slightly thicker border above the screen. But hopefully the protection is also good. Nice to have your card in a case too. Space for this is tight.

When the Fairphone came on the market I already knew: this will be my next phone. Made from recycled materials. Designed so that you can carry out minor repairs yourself. That will be a long 'marriage'. All those phones that are at the end of their life after three years and are often not even offered for recycling is a thorn in my side.
