The screen of the parent unit is quite large and has a razor-sharp image both during the day and at night. What I do find a disadvantage is the green light on the camera. This one always burns. In addition, you cannot rotate the camera remotely. Fortunately, the baby monitor has a wide-angle lens and our baby room is not very big, so I could see almost the entire room. Talkback function What I really like about this talk-back function is that you can talk to the baby's room without interruption. With my other baby monitor, the sound in the baby room goes off when I use the talk-back function. Because of this, I don't always hear what my husband says when I ask him something. With this Philips it's more like a phone call. Very handy, because this way I can immediately hear whether my son is responding to my voice. Lullabies and night light The baby monitor has different lullabies and sounds. I think my son liked the lullabies very much, because it calmed him down. You can also turn on a night light. I found this very useful when I had to search for the pacifier at night. The brightness of the night light is also adjustable. Parent unit and app In addition to the parent unit, this baby monitor also has an app. What I really like is that you can take photos and videos via the app. Furthermore, the app actually has the same functions as the parent unit: you play songs, turn on the night light and use the talk-back function. You can also easily add multiple users. battery life The battery lasts long enough during the day, because my son then sleeps for a few hours at a time. At night, the parent unit has to be charged, because it didn't last 8 hours with me. An advantage is that you have your own smartphone as a backup.

The baby monitor is easy to use and feels of good quality. However, this product has 3 very disturbing problems that make your life with a baby extra difficult. - The battery life: On sound only mode, it gets another 12 hours on the battery. So do you think you can sleep late? Too bad, your baby monitor beeps you awake because of an empty battery. We have a power bank attached to it as standard. - Connection drops randomly. Very annoying in the middle of the night. And the nursery is next to our bedroom, this should not be possible just like that. This also disturbs your precious night's sleep. - If you have not been bothered by the above problems overnight, Philips will push a firmware update in the middle of the night. Night's sleep disturbed again and firmware updates can NOT be turned off, so it's only a matter of time until it happens again. Too bad, because the baby monitor works very user-friendly. But these problems are too annoying to use this product. Of course you will find out too late to return it, otherwise I would have gladly done so. My advice is to look further.

Taken out of the box, turned on and it all just worked right away. The manual is not necessary at all because everything is immediately clear. Great picture, even at night. Good battery life.
