I think the Thrustmaster T128 is a good entry-level model for novice or young sim racers. The racing wheel is easy to use and gives an extra experience to racing games. This makes the racing wheel a good model for sim racers looking for their first racing wheel with force feedback and pedals. The Thrustmaster T128 does feel less sturdy than its bigger brothers, such as the T248 and T300. Installation Installing the Thrustmaster T128 is not easy. The owner's manual in the box was not extensive. After I found a manual on the Thrustmaster website, it worked easily. So make sure you grab the manual on Thrustmaster's website when you install the racing wheel. Mounting the handlebar is easy. Please note that you cannot hard-mount the pedals of this racing wheel on a cockpit. force feedback This racing wheel contains force feedback. You notice this when you tear across the track in F1 or Gran Turismo. What strikes me is that the force feedback is not very strong in this racing wheel. This makes the racing wheel a good entry-level model for beginners. When I set the force feedback to its strongest in-game, I notice that the racing wheel vibrates loudly and makes a lot of noise. The force feedback works well, but is not very strong. If you're looking for a more realistic experience, I'd go for a T248 or T300 RS GT racing wheel. Pedals The pedals of the Thrustmaster T128 are a bit disappointing. They easily slide away when you fully depress the accelerator or brake pedal. The pedals are lightweight so that could be one of the reasons. I sometimes feel like I'm more powerful than pedals, which makes the experience a bit uncomfortable for me. For smaller or younger drivers this should not be a problem. You only have an accelerator and brake pedal, no clutch. As a result, you do not switch in Gran Turismo with a manual gearbox, for example, which is a shame. In Formula 1 this is not a problem. Material and size The racing wheel and pedals are made of plastic. That's the first thing I notice when I take the steering wheel out of the packaging. The racing wheel and pedals are also fairly small in size. I have big feet, so I can easily kick the pedals away. My heel can't stand on the pedal plate to stop the pedals. The smaller steering wheel makes it easy to operate all buttons. For novice drivers The moderate strength of the force feedback, the dimensions of the steering wheel and the lower torque (turning force of the motor shaft) make this racing wheel a good entry-level model. Young and novice racers can master sim racing with the Thrustmaster T128, because the racing wheel meets all the requirements for a fun racing experience.
