iRobot Roomba i7158

This is our second robot vacuum cleaner. Our first was a much cheaper Ecovacs, but after a few years it went offline more and more and didn't clean every night. So we moved it upstairs and, because we were so happy with the nightly cleaning, bought a new robot: the iRobot Roomba. Chosen because of the good reviews. Installation was easy and it feels heavy, so we had high expectations. The first night, however, he didn't because he needs light to map the room. I don't know if that's necessary after that, but I'll just let him drive at 5 o'clock, when it's already getting light. It has many settings so that you can, for example, let it drive around the table shortly after dinner, or over the mat at the back door after football training, great! However, it does not suck very accurately and leaves quite a bit of (small) dirt / spreads it throughout the room. We had dropped a bowl of walnuts and the crumbs are now all over the house. That is very disappointing because 'he only has one job'. Furthermore, the receptacle is full very quickly (and that while he leaves a lot), but I had already read that, so no surprise. All in all, I don't recommend it for that money and the brand name, I expected more.

Does what it's supposed to do, except when it's dark.

You don't have to do anything yourself and the floors are vacuumed for you! You can decide for yourself where and when he has to work. You can move it upstairs and do the top floor without falling down the stairs.
