Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Sony E-mount

If I can only take one lens with me on a trip, I would choose this Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary. I find it nice and compact and light, which means I can carry my camera all day without neck pain. The image quality is also good. Photos I take with this lens look razor sharp. I zoom in on a photo of my cat and count the hairs in its fur, the image is so sharp. I do see some distortion at the edges when I photograph at 28mm. Fortunately, I can easily correct this during post-processing. Image quality When I shoot in low light, I use the large aperture of f/2.8. It's a dark day with a lot of clouds, but my photos look clear. The large aperture also provides a soft bokeh. This gives a dreamy effect to the portrait photos I take. I also like this for product photos, for example when I photograph my houseplants. The blurred background makes the subject jump out of the frame. That's why I prefer to use this lens with a large aperture, such as f/2.8. Versatile zoom lens The zoom range of 28 to 70mm is perfect for me for traveling and days out. I take photos of the landscape or architecture, but I also easily capture details when I zoom in. When I'm out with a friend, I take portrait photos in beautiful locations. Since I use the same lens all the time, I don't carry any extra weight in my backpack. I don't need any other lenses anymore. The zoom ring of the lens rotates very smoothly. When I zoom in on a distant subject while filming, the image does not look jerky, but rather smooth. This produces extra cinematic video images. Silent autofocus While photographing, I notice that the autofocus of the lens works well. He responds quickly when I bring up a new subject. Even if my subject moves, he follows it with little effort. The lens makes no noise during focusing. I find this especially useful when filming with it. This means I don't hear unwanted sounds in the background of my videos. Because it is suitable for both filming and photography, I think this lens is a real all-rounder.
