According to our coffee grinder expert

  • Thanks to the UV-resistant bean hopper, the coffee beans stay fresh longer.
  • The silent DC motor grinds coffee beans at low speed to retain the aromas and taste as successfully as possible.
  • You can use the timer to grind the same amount of coffee every time.
  • You can't place a filter carrier under the spout.

Description

Nothing preserves the taste and aromas of your coffee beans as successfully as the Wilfa Svart Aroma coffee grinder. The coffee bean container and coffee holder are made of of transparent plastic with a UV filter. This protects the coffee against sunlight and keeps the coffee beans fresh for longer. In addition, the coffee grinder has a silent motor that grinds the beans at a low speed. This not only saves noise in the morning, but it also helps preserve the coffee flavor. Use the timer to set how many cups of coffee you want to grind. You can choose from 5 different grinding settings. The coffee grinder has flat grinding discs for a fine and consistent grind.

Nice coffee grinder with good value for money

  • Price quality
  • Consistent grinding degree
  • Grinding degree can be easily adjusted
  • Design of the drip tray under the mill

I use the grinder for making pourover coffee in a Hario V60. For the degree of grinding required for this (somewhere between the "Filter" and "Aeropress" positions), the grinder works very well. For the price, this grinder grinds very consistently. Adjusting the grinding degree is easy to do by turning the bean container. Although there are 5 grinding positions with a name (including "Filter" and "Aeropress"), the grinder can also be set between these positions. This is almost stepless. I don't use the built-in timer to dose the coffee, but I first weigh the amount of beans and throw them into the coffee grinder at a time. Grinding 21g of coffee (for about 2 cups/350ml) takes about 10 seconds. The drip tray under the grinder has a bit of an odd shape that makes it a little more difficult to use, but this is not a big problem. The appearance of this grinder is very nice, and also much nicer than most coffee grinders in this price range.

A real asset for the coffee lover without deep pockets!

  • Relatively quiet
  • Fairly accurate presets for 'filter' and 'french press'
  • Fast
  • The drip tray has a strange shape, which when pouring the ground coffee can cause coffee to fall through a crazy edge next to what you want it in.

Bought this as an upgrade after using the DeLonghi KG89. What a difference! Where the KG89 gives a lot of 'fine dust' at every grind setting, this is much less with this mill. The coffee is ground much more evenly, and it takes about 10 seconds over 30 grams of coffee. He also does this with much less noise: very pleasant for the early morning. Nor is he wrong. It is a bit difficult to store with its size and shape, but because it has a beautifully finished appearance, I don't mind that. He always shows off on my counter. The only drawbacks are in the collection tray. It is made of fragile plastic, especially the lid. The thin plastic also ensures that the coffee can become very static. I solve this by mixing one or two drops of water into my beans before I put them in the grinder, but if I forget that I sometimes want to 'poof' some coffee when I open the container. Finally, the container has a very strange shape, so that you sometimes throw some coffee next to your filter, instead of in it via crazy edges. If you hold it properly it won't happen, but it takes some training. However, the drawbacks of the bowl should not distract from the fact that this is a fantastic reel for the price! I enjoy using it every day and hopefully will continue to do so for years to come.

The best coffee grinder in its price range!

  • Beautiful and sturdy design
  • Timer function nice, but...
  • Timer function nice, but...
  • Shape of the drip tray

After years of using a Nespresso machine, the decision was made to prepare filter coffee yourself. Apart from other elements that must be purchased, freshly grinding the coffee beans is essential for a good cup of coffee. In my opinion, a hand grinder is too intensive and does not always grind homogeneously. In addition, I also did not want to spend a lot of money on an all-rounder, since it is only intended for filter coffee. I don't make espressos, because it doesn't grind fine enough for that. The bean grinder has different grind settings for different brewing methods. Fine for filter, grinds quickly and the sound is absolutely manageable. The timer is useful, yet irrelevant. If you're a real coffee fanatic, you weigh the beans, it doesn't really matter how long the beans grind. It's about the quantity. By the way, handy if you have weighed it up and then turn it on; you can do something else. I use V60 myself, for which I rotate the grind setting between ''filter'' and ''aeropress'', depending on the amount. Play with this yourself, since the texts are not necessarily a guideline for the method you are going to use. The product certainly does not look out of place on the counter. It is solidly built and looks quite nice. In my opinion, the only points of criticism of the design is the receptacle where the ground coffee ends up. There are a lot of remnants left in it that you can get out with a little effort, but not ideal. All in all, an excellent buy for someone who wants to make filter coffee. Short on some details, you can't make espresso with it, but for this price you won't find a better one. Enjoy your cup of coffee!
