According to our projector expert
With the Optoma UHD30, you bring a movie theater experience to your own living room. Thanks to the 4K resolution and the high contrast ratio of 500,000:1, you can watch razor-sharp images with a wide color gamut and deep black levels. This ensures you can watch movies and series in high quality from your Blu-ray player or laptop. This projector also offers a solution for gamers. Thanks to the low input lag of the projector, there's little delay between the controller and the image on the screen. This allows you to react quickly to what happens in the game. In addition, you can connect 2 different devices at the same time to the 2 HDMI connectors, such as your media player and gaming console. This allows you to easily switch sources without having to switch cables.
The Optima UHD30 has a throw ratio of 1.5 - 1.7 :1, which means you can place the projector between 1.5 and 1.7m away from the screen for a 1m wide projection. For a 2m wide projection, you can double this distance to 3.0 - 3.4m. Make sure to first check where you want to place the projector and if there's space.

TOP 4K projector for a low price. We have been waiting for some time for affordable (+/- €1000) 4K beamers. To then see this gem with 240Hz support (1080p) and 60Hz (1440P), HDR10 and 3400 Lumen and for the gamers among us, a very low input lag (16ms). Meets all expectations. Enjoy watching movies in high quality and gaming as you would on a monitor. I have now risen in several game rankings because of this ;).

The Optoma uhd30 mainly purchased for gaming via my Xbox Series X. It certainly does not disappoint. 4K 60fps plays super smooth and I don't notice any input lag. 1080p 120fps runs like a charm. I play on a 92inch screen and the difference between 1080p and 4K from a distance is less than I expected, but at 4K everything is of course super sharp. In terms of colors, everything is clear and colorful, only the black values are never 100% black, but light gray. Compared to an OLED TV, the beamer is less in terms of color and contrast. Performs best in a (nearly) dark room, but even with some daylight, the image is still fairly good to see. Playing on the projector Nintendo Switch is class. Mario kart 8 split screen is wonderful on a big screen. Gaming on a big screen really feels like a party. Also watched a few movies from Disney classics to sci-fi and this feels like an evening at the cinema in your own home. I can recommend this projector for the (fanatic) gamer but also for movie/series enthusiasts. Multifunctional projector!

I was looking for a 3d and 4k projector that rel. affordable and with good image quality. That's what this device is. Brightness is very good and color reproduction too. the 3D is very nice. and the 4k HDR also works fine. In addition, the proj. easy to set up. The remote control works very intuitively and is illuminated after pressing a button. The menu interface is quite responsive. I am very pleased with this projector. (it's my first!) Two disadvantages, : 1) the distance of the proj. to screen should be quite large for a decent sized projected image. This is not convenient for small rooms. (It's just fine for me, 1m60 projector (lens) distance to screen yields about 48 to 49 inch screen diagonal) 2) I've been searching quite a bit the first time to be able to activate the 3d menu option(s) (was grayed out), it turns out that you first have to turn off the HDR/HLG option in the dynamic range submenu and then you can reach the 3d options. After that, the 3d works fine. Afterwards, for 4k with HDR, you have to manually turn on that HDR option yourself in the menu. (with User1 button).
But taking it all in, a nice projector and recommended.
