Tefal Easy Fry XXL EY701D airfryer

The air fryer is not what I expected. I do have a positive experience in some areas, but all in all I would not recommend the airfryer due to the many negatives. It gets super hot at the bottom to begin with, while my previous airfryer blew out the warm air at the top/back. I personally liked that a lot better. After some encouragement, I placed the fryer directly on my counter and it did not damage. So it doesn't get so hot that you can't place it on your counter. The container opens far from smoothly and I often have to stop the fryer itself ... but it is hot! Closing is also not good. I always have to apply considerable force or stop the airfryer with one hand or push the box extra shut. You cannot tip your baked products out of the fryer, because then the plate will fall out. So I already had that on my arm and counter, resulting in an ugly blister. So the only option is to scoop out your fries/sandwiches/meat/vegetables/something else with a scoop and that takes a long time and is inconvenient. Shaking is also not good. When I want to shake fries, the bottom plate goes up with it, so that the fries get underneath or the plate is skewed. The sandwiches, potato wedges, frikandellen, apple turnovers and quiche from the fryer were tasty, but I had to shake/scoop the fries much more often than stated in the manual and they also had to bake longer to get them crispy. Cleaning the airfryer is also disappointing: the parts cannot be put in the dishwasher and are quite large for your sink. You also have to wait until it has cooled down (otherwise you'll burn yourself), but by that time your fat is already caked and cleaning is no longer fun. My advice for people who want to buy an airfryer is: choose one with a basket that you can tip over, that can go in the dishwasher and that opens and closes smoothly.

Various foods have since been prepared with the easy fry and the result is getting better. Not that the easy fry will change operation of course, but I'm actually getting more handy at it. As the title says: practice makes perfect, also applies in this case. So, here we go: Design: + Nice device, sleek, wouldn't look out of place in the kitchen (although I store it neatly after use) - Gets very hot on the outside, so be careful! Use: Especially (keep) trying if it doesn't work in 1x. The manual is sketchy and frankly quite worthless. Much better are the instructions for use on the packaging of the products. Make sure you buy products that are suitable for the device. That makes a difference. Preparing snacks is super simple, meat, fish and poultry come out wonderfully tender and juicy. Ironically, I found it most difficult to learn to prepare decent fries in the easy fry. I rarely use the pre-programmed functions. Doesn't add much to me. Maintenance/cleaning: Although the instructions in manuals and on the internet about what can and cannot be put in the dishwasher are contradictory to say the least, my experience is that the tray and the grid can go in the dishwasher just fine. Ideal! So easy to maintain, wipe the outside with a cloth every time. Little more junk; a relief. For that reason alone, no more "regular" chip boilers! All in all, I recommend this product!
