Pros and cons

According to our controller expert

  • You control your game character with more precision than with a 'normal' Xbox controller, thanks to interchangeable paddles and a rubber grip.
  • You can use the accompanying app to customize and adjust the controller.
  • In a first person shooter, you shoot faster than your opponent with the Hair Trigger Locks.
  • The grips of the hollow analog sticks can feel a bit slippery.

The Xbox Elite Series 2 doesn't reinvent the wheel, but sometimes feels like a revolution. From taking a screenshot with a single paddle press, to wireless charging, to using tighter analog sticks, it stacks the deck with tweaks that make a big difference depending on what games you're playing and what controller you've used to to play them. It really is one of the best controllers for PC gaming and Xbox One. The only real downside is the price: how about spending 180 on a controller with a new Xbox around the corner? I really hope Microsoft does a good job with people buying this thing and supporting it with the next generation, which seems likely. There's a lot to love here and you'll want to use it for years to come. And now the negative part. Like version 1, version 2 also has many factory flaws. Especially the first batches of v2 have a lot of problems. Facebuttons that stick when pressed. There is also a lot of stick drift. I myself have now had to exchange my controller 2x and my 3rd controller still suffers from malfunctioning face buttons. Microsoft has acknowledged this and is working on a fix. Fortunately, coolbleu offers one of the best service and warranty with all their products. So exchanging is fortunately easy if you are a victim of such a faulty controller.

the rolls-royce version of a console controller

  • sturdy, has some weight and is nicely built
  • fine materials used, gives it a luxurious feel
  • you can adjust everything to your preference
  • quite pricey

This controller is fantastic, so if I die now in Elden Ring, it's my own fault. So you never have to throw it angrily, which saves you a lot of damage to your interior. It wants to be heavy enough that you can really do some damage with it! If you are looking for the best price/quality ratio, this is not the controller for you. He isn't faster or more accurate, nor does he help you with boss fights. It is a very luxurious controller that feels nice and where you can replace the sticks with different sizes, set the resistance of the sticks and there are four programmable buttons on the bottom that can either be adjusted or removed very easily. Complaining that it's too expensive is a bit like complaining that a rolls-royce is too expensive, if you're not up for it there are plenty of other options!

Nice controller that unfortunately has quality issues

  • Nice controller that fits well in the hand
  • Many setting options
  • Choice of material
  • Weight

A nice controller, only I have already returned two within a day because the A and X buttons regularly get stuck. A common problem with this controller (apparently). Now looking for an alternative.
