JBL Flip 5 White

The JBL Flip 5 is one of the newest members in the JBL family. I couldn't wait to try it. It has a deep bass thanks to the sideways woofers, as I'm used to from JBL speakers. It also produces a very high volume. That surprises me, because it's just a bit bigger than my hand. Compared to the Flip 4, there are a few minor changes. PartyBoost has replaced JBL Connect+ and the bluetooth and pairing button have switched places. A small strip of LED light also indicates how full the battery is. First impression I take the Flip 5 out of its sturdy and impact-resistant packaging and turn it on. With one push of the bluetooth button, I can already find it in the list of available devices on my iPhone. It's that simple. High volume from a small device What strikes me immediately is the high volume that comes out of the small device. I can't help but test it to the full 100%. Even then, the sound doesn't get shrill, but I wouldn't recommend it, because it won't make your neighbors, roommates or colleagues very happy. I've already listened to several songs with the Flip 5. Think tech house, electric pop and songs with lots of vocals and instruments. The Flip 5 produces low tones and bass well. At high tones with a high volume, the speaker still falls short in my opinion. But you shouldn't expect that, given the size. Take it everywhere The Flip 5 is smaller than I thought and weighs only half a kilo. That way I can easily take it with me in my bag. I'll throw it in like that. If I do want to pack it a little more securely, I just use the cover that comes in the box. The 12-hour battery also lasts quite a long time. After a few days I have to charge it again. Link to more JBLs I've read that you can link up to 100 JBLs with the new PartyBoost function. Now it seems very small to me that I have 100 friends with a JBL speaker, or even have 100 friends at all. But it is certainly a handy function to boost the volume just a bit.

It's great to be able to enjoy my music on my phone so easily - I'm still from the 'stone age' with an old Ipod and old JBL box that I've been carrying everywhere for years :-) About the battery life I can't say much yet; but straight out of the box the box worked like a train and I've had it on for a few days now, every day for a while. The box is small, handy, gives (for this size) a great sound and the super fast connection with my phone (Iphone) via bluetooth is great
