Bose Soundbar 500

Have been using the soundbar for a few weeks now. Connecting went smoothly, as did calibrating the correct seating areas in the living room. I hadn't had any experience with any kind of extension to my TV's audio until recently, so whichever bar I had used I think I would have been positive about the sound quality anyway. But this one sounds really good! Crisp clear and the sound spreads well over the room. It makes my gaming and Netflix experiences so much better! Compared to a wireless speaker from Harmon Karbon, the range of bluetooth is slightly less.

Since I just moved I was looking for a sound system to replace my old one. The choice for a soundbar was a simple one, but which brand was the next question. Since I already own a Bose wireless speaker and am very satisfied with it, I decided to go for the Bose Soundbar 500. Unpacking the box is already a pleasure. The soundbar is very well packaged in a nice box. The box contains a remote control, the power supply, an HDMI cable, an adaptiq headset and a quick installation guide To do the installation, you need to install the Bose Music App. This is a simple process, but make sure you connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI/ARC port on your TV. For the rest, the manual is very concise and if you want to know more about the functions and signals of the Bose Soundbar, you really need to download the extensive manual via the Bose website. The Bose App is therefore useful for installing the soundbar, but if you want more information about other functions and meaning of certain lights, you should really download the extensive manual. You can also adjust the low, high and middle tones to your preference via the APP. You can also connect to your own Spotify profile via the App. This can be operated quickly on the remote control by pressing the sound button, so that Spotify starts playing right away. The soundbar is also equipped with Alexa the voice assistant, but this is currently not supported in the Netherlands.

I have had the soundbar 500 at home for a few weeks now. The soundbar will be sent in a beautiful and sound packaging. Almost a shame to throw the box away. The soundbar looks very nice. The bass was installed in no time (plug it in, install the app and connect the soundbar to the app), but after that it got complicated. In the app you can adjust the sound settings on your home using a type of headphones (included). This process takes a while, but several times it was interrupted by the app in the meantime. I called Bose customer service and they were very helpful in resolving this issue (plug headphones out, power off, wipe and plug in, power on). After that, the setup went smoothly and I could enjoy beautiful and powerful sound. To complete the sound I bought the bass module 500. Together this is a fantastic set! The whole is linked in the app and connected to the WiFi. If you have Spotify, for example, you can also listen to Spotify via the set; not via bluetooth with your phone, but directly via wifi. My house has turned into a home theater. The soundbar and bass module together provide a nice complete sound throughout the room. What I do regret is the brief description that comes with it. This way, the remote control is also automatically linked to your TV. Now when I turn on the Bose set, the TV also turns on; or vice versa. With Lingo, for example, I don't need sound via the Bose set. How to set this up is not described anywhere. I expect that if I dig into it a little more I'll figure it out, but it would have been easier if this was just included with the set. All in all I am very happy with this set! Beautiful to look at and wonderful to listen to!
