Epson EcoTank ET-2650

After years of wearing out printers in our small company, it was really time for a good printer where we didn't have to replace new cartridges every few weeks. We don't print an incredible amount, but more than the average family of course. Before this I had Canon printers, the photo quality was good, but the brand remains better with cameras instead of printers. What makes a world of difference is that this printer prints directly and has no will or life of its own. Our canons were making noise all day, no idea what they were doing, but if you pressed print, it took another 3-4 minutes for a piece of paper to come out. With this Epson it takes, well .. 8 seconds? You push print, and the sheet just comes out! So it's possible! Don't be blinded by the slightly more expensive price either, this is a type of printer that you pay a little more for, but the ink bottles only cost 10-15 euros and they last a very long time. Finally. You can buy a printer with such specs for maybe 120-130 euros, but then you will lose 50-70 euros every few weeks for your ink cartridges. Filling with the bottles is quite easy to do, according to the printer you have to keep an eye on it yourself and make sure you don't empty it. But, then we are more than a year further I think! The quality is good, black and white is clear, fast, color is also good, and the photos are also very good. What I may find a disadvantage is that all the paper has to be in 1 drawer, so every time you take paper out, you have to indicate on the screen which new paper is in it, a sensor notices that you are working on the paper. So it doesn't have 2 drawers for photos and A4s, for example. But by simply selecting your paper, it's all right again. So far very satisfied. You pay a little more with these types of printers, but really with pleasure. With other types of printers, you simply pay double for the cartridges alone. Nice printer if you print regularly!

Nice fine printer, ink tanks last a long time. Scanning is a bit slower than what is common today, but who still scans a lot on a printer? Usually you do this with your smartphone that can scan directly to an online drive or NAS. A week after purchase, it is suddenly € 50 cheaper at Coolblue. Just called and Coolblue immediately paid € 50 return. Doing well:-)

Happy with this printer. I found filling the ink containers a bit less, but I should not have to do this often. Ease of use after installation is easy, I turned off the sleep function because I had to turn the printer back on every time I wanted to print. I print a lot via the network, so I'm not right next to it.
