What condition can the laptops be in?

Like new

This laptop has been removed from the packaging and might have been tested. The product is indistinguishable from new.

Signs of wear

The laptop might have been used for a bit, so it has light traces of use. Think of small scratches on the edges, sides, or bottom of the laptop, or on the charger. There aren't any scratches on the screen.

Visible damage

The laptop has visible damages like scratches or dents on the product. The screen might have small scratches or some dead pixels. The damages don't hinder the use of the laptop.

How does a laptop become Second Chance?

The laptop is checked by our experts for completeness, performance, and signs of use.
The laptop is sent to our Data Wipe department which wipes all stored information. We'll also install the latest drivers here.
Does the laptop have traces of use? We'll photograph them.
We'll securely pack the laptop and it appears on the website.

What's the difference between a secondhand and Second Chance laptop?

A Second Chance laptop isn't the same as a secondhand laptop. A secondhand laptop is a used laptop, which you can buy via Marktplaats. Our Second Chance laptops have only been taken out of the box or used for a few days, which is much newer than a secondhand laptop.

What's the difference between refurbished and Second Chance?

A Second Chance laptop isn't the same as a refurbished laptop. A refurbished laptop has usually been used much longer. Usually, the screen has been repaired, or the battery replaced to lengthen the lifespan. Second Chance laptops have barely been used, so they already have an as good as new battery or screen.

How do we set the price for a Second Chance laptop?

We set the discount for a Second Chance laptop based on the condition of the product and how much stock we have. It's not possible to negotiate the price.

What are the Terms and Conditions of Second Chance laptops?

The same conditions apply to Second Chance as to new products. This means you can return products within 30 days for free and always get a 2-year warranty. There are a few differences: you can't get extra insurance for your Second Chance laptops, cashback promotions and promotions that include free accessories don't apply to Second Chance laptops, and you can't pick up your product in the store or reserve it.
