Description
The Yamaha HS5 is an active studio speaker for a small studio at home. This speaker produces a neutral sound reproduction, so you can precisely hear which frequencies should be removed or accentuated. Color isn't added to the sound, so you can easily make decisions about your productions. The room trim control function adjusts the speaker to the acoustics of your studio. This is useful if the room is sensitive to low resonating frequencies. The frequency range of the speaker goes up to 54Hz. If you want to hear frequencies lower than 54Hz, you need the Yamaha HS8S subwoofer.

The HS5 is very compact but the sound is very mature. By means of the program Reference4 (Sonarworks) and a calibration microphone the already fairly straight frequency characteristic adjusted to the studio.... is now completely straight and sounds very good/neutral.
