Why Beats works well with Apple
H1/W1 chip
What's the reason Beats work well together with Apple? The chip in your headphones or earbuds is made by Apple. The older version of Beats have the W1 chip. The newer models have the H1 chip. These chips work the same way. They make sure that you're connected to your iCloud devices quickly, save battery, and provide a better sound quality in general. The difference between these chips is that the H1 does all these things a little bit better than the W1.
Siri
Another advantage of both chips is that they work together with Siri. When your headphones or earbuds have the W1 chip, you can press a button to activate the voice assistant. With a built-in H1 chip, you can say 'Hi Siri!' and the voice assistant will respond. You can tell Siri what to do via speech, like skipping to the next song. That way, you won't have to take your phone out of your pocket.

Beats chip
The Beats Studio Buds+ have a special Beats chip. This chip has the same advantages for the iPhone as the H1/W1 chip. The difference is that this Beats chip makes many of these benefits accessible for Android smartphones too. For example, you can use the 'Find my device' function on Android to find you Studio Buds+ now too. You can also quickly connect your Android smartphone to the Beats Studio Buds+. Unfortunately, you can't control the earbuds with your voice with Android.
