What are the warranty Terms and Conditions of screen protectors?

You've purchased a screen protector at Coolblue, but you don't like it or it got damaged. Whether your screen protector is covered by the warranty or not depends on the cause of the defect. Screen protectors are a special product in terms of warranty, because damaging is part of the function of a screen protector. In this article, we'll explain when they're covered by the warranty of Coolblue.

How does warranty at Coolblue work?

At Coolblue, you'll have at least a 2-year warranty for damaged products. The product shouldn't get damaged the first 2 years. For screen protectors, you'll get the so-called 'Carry in' warranty. This means that we'll ask you to send your damaged product to us. Your product will be repaired or you'll receive a refund. This repair is entirely free of costs if the product got damaged due to a manufacturing error. If it got damaged due to your own fault, it won't be covered by the warranty.

When do you have warranty on your screen protector?

Screen protectors are only covered by warranty if there's a manufacturing error. For example, your screen protector doesn't stay on your screen properly due to a poor adhesive layer. This will be covered by the warranty if it occurs within 2 years after purchase. Within 30 days after purchase, the warranty conditions are slightly different and you can return the screen protector if it's been applied the wrong way. This includes screen protectors that are still in original condition and undamaged. In these cases, you'll get a refund.

When don't you have warranty on your screen protector?

After 30 days after purchase, you won't receive warranty if your screen protector gets damaged or if bubbles appear. These problems are caused by applying the screen protector the wrong way. This also applies if the screen protector breaks due to a fall, which is seen as regular usage damage. For screen protectors, you often won't get your money back after you've applied it to your smartphone. You'll only have warranty with 2 years after purchase in case of a manufacturing error.
