Tip 1: test the Bluetooth device
The problem can be the other Bluetooth device. Follow these steps to confirm this.
- Turn off Bluetooth on your own smartphone.
- Use a different phone with Bluetooth. This can be your old smartphone, or the device or your partner, friend, or colleague, for example.
- Try to connect to the same Bluetooth device that wouldn't connect to your own smartphone.

Tip 2: restart your phone
Restart your smartphone. Go through the following steps for this:
- Press and hold the standby button and upper volume button at the same time.
- Release the buttons when the device turns off. This happens after about 12 seconds.
- Turn the device back on by pressing the standby button.
Tip 3: update the software

Go to settings.

Choose update software.

Download the software.

Click update.
The Bluetooth might not work because your smartphone doesn't have the latest software. That's why you should update the software.
- Make sure the device is charged for at least 60%. Otherwise, connect the smartphone to the charger.
- Check if your smartphone is connected to WiFi.
- Tap the cogwheel icon to go to Settings.
- Scroll down and choose for Software update.
- Is there an update available? Choose Download now.
- After downloading, tap Update now.
Your smartphone will now restart. Afterwards, your device will have the most recent software.
Tip 4: reset your phone
Revert your phone to factory settings. First try all the other steps before you do this. Make sure you have a backup of all your data. Otherwise, your apps, files, and photos will be lost.
- Make sure the battery has enough power, or connect your phone to the charger.
- Go to Settings and choose for Advanced settings.
- Tap Backup and reset at the bottom.
- Tap Erase all data (factory reset) and choose Erase all data.
