Image quality

BU8000 image quality

BU8000: Dynamic Crystal Color

The BU8000 has a Crystal Display, just like the other Crystal UHD televisions. Thanks to this screen, you can watch clear and colorful images. In combination with Dynamic Crystal Color technique, images of the BU8000 are more realistic and the color representation is better. Thanks to the 4K AI upscaling, all images you watch in the BU8000 are scaled up to 4K quality. This way, you can enjoy sharp images on YouTube and watch your old movie library with sharp images.

AU7100 image quality

AU7100: Crystal Color

With the AU 7100, you can enjoy bright and colorful images on the Crystal Display, just like with the BU8000. Unlike the BU8000, the AU7100 doesn't have Dynamic Crystal Color. This way, the images are a bit less realistic and the color representation is less improved. The Au7100 does have 4K AI upscaling, so it upscales lesser-quality images to 4K.

TU7020 image quality

TU7020: Crystal Color

The TU7020 has the bright and colorful Crystal Display, just like the BU8000 and AU7100. But the image quality of the TU7020 is clearly the least good of the 3. The TU7020 doesn't have Dynamic Crystal Color, but it also doesn't have 4K AI upscaling. This way, you watch images on this television that have a lower quality than on the AU7100 and BU8000.

Design

BU8000 Air Slim Design

BU8000: Air Slim Design

Thanks to the Air Slim Design, the BU8000 is only 27mm thin. You really notice that when you hang the television flat against the wall. The TV has notches on the back for a TV mount, so you can hang it flush against the wall. The thin screen rests on 2 stylish leg stands, where you can also fit a soundbar.

AU7100 design

AU7100: a bit thicker screen

The AU7100 has a 60mm screen, which is a bit thicker than the BU8000. This way, the TV doesn't look as sleek against the wall as the BU8000. The television also doesn't have options for a TV mount, so you can't hang it flush against the wall. The screen rests on 2 stylish leg stands where you can fit a soundbar, just like with the BU8000.

TU7020 design

TU7020: a bit thicker screen

The TU7020 is also 60mm thick, just like the AU7100. Like the other television, the screen rests on 2 leg stands. The TU7020 doesn't have options for a TV mount, just like the AU7100, so you can't hang the television.

Extra functions and accessories

Remote BU8000

BU8000: extensive TV with Solar One Remote

The BU8000 comes with the Solar One Remote. This remote charges itself with artificial light and sunlight, so you don't need batteries. The BU8000 also has Q-Symphony. This technique combines the sound from a Samsung soundbar with the speakers of the television. This way, you'll have a richer listening experience because it uses all available speakers. As a result, you'll hear more sound than usual.

Remote AU7100

AU7100: Q-Symphony without Solar One Remote

The AU7100 comes with a 'standard' Samsung remote. This remote doesn't charge itself, so you need to replace the batteries from time to time. The Au7100 does have Q-Symphony, just like the BU8000. This technique combines the speakers of your TV with your soundbar. This way, you'll hear more sound and the listening experience is richer and more immersive.

Remote TU7020

TU7020: less extensive TV

The TU7020 is the least extensive television of the 3. The television comes without the Solar One Remote and Q-Symphony. The TU7020 does have the Tizen Smart Hub, just like the AU7100 and the BU8000. This allows you to watch your favorite content on popular apps like Netflix and YouTube.

Gaming

BU8000 gaming

BU8000: low input lag and smooth images

The BU8000 offers a smooth gaming experience, thanks to the Motion Xcelerator. This technique makes sure the images are displayed smoothly when you game. Thanks to the low input lag of less than 9.8ms, there's barely any delay between your controller and the screen. This way, your opponents don't have an advantage.

AU7100 gaming

AU7100: low input lag and smooth images

The AU7100 also has a low input lag and the Motion Xcelerator technique. This way, you can enjoy smooth images when you game and there's barely any delay between your controller and the screen.

TU7020

TU7020: low input lag

Th TU 7020 doesn't use the Motion Xcelerator technique. This way, images are less smooth when you game than on the AU7100 and the BU8000. The television does have a low input lag of less than 9.8ms, just like the 2 other televisions.

Conclusion

Which of these television is the best choice for you depends on your usage situation. The BU8000 is clearly the most complete and thinnest television of the 3. Are you okay with a slightly lesser image quality and thicker screen? The AU7100 is a good choice. Do you want a 4K screen without extras to watch talk shows in your bedroom? The TU7020 meets your wishes.
