How do you reset your HEOS by Denon speaker?

You want to set up your HEOS by Denon speaker again. That's why you restore it to the factory settings, so you delete all current settings. In the following steps, I'll show you how to reset your HEOS by Denon speaker. These steps are suitable for the HEOS 1, 3, 5, 7, and all subwoofers and soundbars by HEOS.

Step 1: determine which speaker you have

Determine which speaker you have

There are 2 versions of the HEOS by Denon speakers: the HS1 (also called 'first generation') and the HS2 (also called 'second generation'). In addition, there is also the HEOS BAR. You reset each speaker in a different way. That's why you first need to check which speaker you have. To check this on the speakers, check the rear of the speaker. On the HS1 speakers, there's a reset button next to the adapter connection. With the HS2 you'll find the Bluetooth button here, which you recognize by the Bluetooth logo.
