How do you reset your HEOS by Denon speaker?
Step 1: determine which speaker you have
There are 2 versions of the HEOS by Denon speakers: the HS1 (also called 'first generation') and the HS2 (also called 'second generation'). In addition, there is also the HEOS BAR. You reset each speaker in a different way. That's why you first need to check which speaker you have. To check this on the speakers, check the rear of the speaker. On the HS1 speakers, there's a reset button next to the adapter connection. With the HS2 you'll find the Bluetooth button here, which you recognize by the Bluetooth logo.
Step 2: reset your speaker
Reset an HS1 speaker
Use a paper clip or toothpick to press the reset button. Hold down the reset button until the light on the speaker starts flashing orange and then release it. After 30 seconds the light will flash blue and the speaker will be ready for use again.
Reset an HS2 speaker
Press and hold the connect and Bluetooth buttons simultaneously until the speaker light starts flashing orange. You can find the connect button on the back of the speaker, just like the Bluetooth button. Release both buttons. After 30 seconds the light will flash blue and the speaker will be ready for use again.
Reset a HEOS BAR soundbar
Press and hold the connect and Bluetooth buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until the soundbar light flashes orange. You can find the buttons on the back of the BAR. After 30 seconds the light will flash blue and the speaker will be ready for use again.
