How do you place the brew group back into your Saeco or Philips coffee machine?

Can't you place the brew group of your Saeco or Philips coffee machine back into the machine? Luckily, you can solve this problem in a couple of steps. In this article, we'll explain how to put this brew group back correctly.

Place back brew group

  1. Make sure the machine is set to neutral.
  2. Put the handles of the brew group in the right position.
  3. Put the brew group back into the machine.

Step 1: put the machine in the neutral setting

Put the Philips brew group back
  • Put the drip tray and coffee grounds container in the machine and close the brew group cover. You can leave the brew group out of the machine.
  • Turn off the machine by pressing the on/off button on the front of the machine. Wait until you no longer hear any sounds. The machine is now completely switched off.
  • Switch the machine back on. Wait until you no longer hear any sounds.

Step 2: set the levers of the brew group correctly

Put levers brewing group in correct position
  • Make sure the 2 arrows on the side of the brew group face each other. Is this not the case? Push the lever down if necessary.
  • Put the hook on the side of the brew group in the correct position. You can do this by pushing the hook all the way up until you hear it click into place. Unable to push the hook further up? It was already in the right position.

Step 3: put the brew group back in place

  • Open the cover at the side of the machine, put the brew group in the machine, and close the cover again.
  • Make a cup of coffee and see whether the machine works the way it should.
