How do you place a wall-mounted umbrella drying rack?
Install a wall-mounted umbrella drying rack in 4 steps
You can install a wall-mounted umbrella drying rack in 4 steps:
- Choose a suitable wall.
- Determine the correct height.
- Drill the holes in the wall.
- Use plugs and screws.
What do you need
When installing a wall dryer, you'll need the following:
- Solid wall
- Wall-mounted umbrella drying rack
- Drill with 8mm drill
- Screws
- Wall plugs
- Other material from the box
Step 1: choose a suitable wall
You can mount a wall-mounted umbrella drying rack on a stone or concrete wall, or on a sturdy wooden fence. It's not recommended to use a drywall or thin, wooden wall.
Step 2: determine the correct height
To determine the correct height, first check up to where you can easily access your laundry. The top drill holes should be in this spot. Keep in mind that there should be at least 3.5cm of free space above the mounting plate. You'll need this space to be able to unfold the wall-mounted umbrella drying rack.
Step 3: drill the holes
For drilling, use an 8mm drill bit that's suitable for drilling into stone and concrete. First, drill the top 2 holes at the spot where you can still easily reach your laundry. For each wall-mounted umbrella drying rack, the manual states how far apart the holes should be. You can also find the location of the bottom 2 holes for each model in the manual.
Step 4: use the plugs
Now, remove the included parts from the package. Use the plugs and screws to attach the wall-mounted umbrella drying rack securely to the wall. The umbrella drying rack is now ready for use.
