How do you use the Xbox Game Pass?
Get started with the Xbox Game Pass
You can use the Xbox Game Pass in 3 different ways. You first need to purchase a subscription before you can start gaming. you can purchase the subscription and install games in 2 steps.

- Step 2c. Install games on your mobile phone (cloud gaming)
Step 1: purchase a Game Pass subscription
There are 3 different subscriptions for the Game Pass. There's one for the PC, the console, and an Ultimate pass. Do you mainly play games on your Xbox? Purchase a console subscription. Do you always game on the PC? Choose the benefits of a PC subscription. If you play on the PC and the console, choose the Ultimate version with which you can use the Xbox Game Pass on both devices. Purchase a subscription via the Xbox website or via your Xbox console.
Step 2a: install games on your console
To play Games Pass games on your console, you don't need to install a separate app or software. Boot your Xbox console and log in if that's necessary. Go to 'Home' and click 'Game Pass'. Next, click 'Show all' and view the list with games. Click a game you want to play and install it. You can play the game as soon as the installation is finished.
Step 2b: install games on your PC
Download the Xbox App via your browser. Go through all the steps and complete the installation. After the installation, open the Xbox App. If you don't have a Microsoft account, create one before you start. Do you already have a Microsoft account? Log in with your account. Scroll through the homepage or find a game you want to install and click it to install. After the installation, you can find the game on the left side and click it to play.
Step 2c: install games on your mobile phone (cloud gaming)
You can also game on your mobile phone with all versions of the subscription. Download the Xbox Game Pass app via the store of your phone. Log in with your Microsoft account or create a Microsoft account if you don't have one yet. When you're logged in, you'll see a list of games. Find the game you want to play and click it. Press 'Install' and play the game on your mobile phone after the installation.
