3 tips to solve battery problems of your Indego robot lawn mower
3 tips to solve battery problems
With the following 3 tips, you can easily solve the most common battery problems yourself.
Tip 1: Check the battery threshold
Tip 2: Check the on/off switch
Tip 3: Check the temperature
Tip 1: let the battery drain for longer
Is the Indego robot lawn mower connected to the charging dock, but the battery doesn't charge? The battery is probably above the threshold of 80%. The batteries of Indego robot lawn mowers have smart battery management. This way, the charging dock only starts charging if the battery is below that threshold. This extends the lifespan of the battery. Use the battery until it dips below 80% or until it's completely drained.
Tip 2: check the on/off switch
If the switch of the robot lawn mower isn't turned on, the battery doesn't charge. You can check this on the back of the machine, where the switch should be set to I. Also check if the cable of the power supply is connected to the charging dock.
Tip 3: check the temperature
The battery has to have a temperature between 5 and 45°C. Is the temperature too low or too high? It doesn't work well anymore. Make sure the charging dock and robot lawn mower aren't in the sun too long and store them in winter.
