How do you get your Krups Intuition ready for use?

Before you can make coffee with your new coffee machine, you need to make it ready for use in 4 steps. We'll walk through these steps with you:

• Step 1. Connect the machine
• Step 2. Install the water filter
• Step 3. Set the water hardness
• Step 4. Connect the milk system

You need:

• 600ml container
• Water filter
• Water hardness test strip

1. Remove the protective foil and take the accessories from the water tank.
2. Put the connector of the coffee machine in the socket.
3. Press the on/off button to turn on the machine.
4. Select the desired language on the display and confirm with 'ok'.
5. Enter the time and date and confirm your choice with 'ok'.
6. The machine asks to install the water filter. Afterwards, press 'ok' twice.

1. Remove the water tank from the coffee machine and fill it with fresh water.
2. Take the water filter and set the date on the water filter to the current month.
3. Remove the attachment from the water filter and screw the water filter into place in the water tank.
4. Remove the attachment as soon as the water filter is in place. You can do this by pushing the attachment to the right.
5. Put the water tank back into the machine.
6. Place a 600ml container under the coffee outlet.
7. The machine rinses for 5 minutes.
8. When rinsing is done, 'Installation completed' appears on the display. Confirm with 'ok'.
9. Remove the container and empty it in the sink.

1. Scroll to 'Settings' on the display. Choose 'Changes', scroll to 'Water hardness' and click on it.
2. Fill a glass of water and put the water hardness test strip in the water for 5 seconds.
3. Wait for 1 minute and check which boxes on the strip have changed color. The number of red boxes indicates the water hardness of the water.
4. Enter the water hardness and press 'OK' to confirm.
5. Press 'Home' to return the home screen.

1. Attach the mounting system of the milk tube to the side of the machine.
2. Put the stainless steel end of the milk tube in the mounting system. That way, your milk tube doesn't dangle.
3. Your Krups Intuition is now ready for use.
