How do you register a separate handset?
Do you have a landline phone with a base station and do you want to know how to add an extra separate handset? In this article, you can read how to do this. Are your base station and handset GAP compatible? This means you'll able to pair the base station and handset regardless of the brand or type.
Step 1: on the base station
Press and hold the 'Sync' button on the base station for 5 seconds. This button is either on top or at the back of the base station. You can recognize the key by an icon that resembles the WiFi symbol.
Step 2: on the handset
- Press the 'OK' key.
- Navigate to 'Register' with the arrows and press 'OK' again.
- Enter your PIN code and press OK again. Have you never changed this? The PIN code is 0000 in that case.
- Done! The handset is now paired.
Note: the steps may differ per brand. Always follow the manual when registering your separate handset.
