This is how you set up your Harman Kardon Citation speaker
Citation 100 and Citation One
- Step 1: Turn on the device. Connect the power cable to the speaker and AC power.
- Step 2: Download the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet. Open the app and follow the steps to add the extra speaker in the app. Log in with your Google account to also use the integrated Google Assistant.
Citation 300 and 500

Step 1: Turn on the speaker. When you connect the power cable to the speaker and AC power, the speaker turns on automatically. Select your preferred language in the touchscreen.

Step 2: Download the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet. Follow the steps in the installation menu and log in with your Google account so that you can use voice control through the integrated Google Assistant.
Citation Bar

Step 1: Turn on the Citation Bar by connecting it to AC power. The soundbar turns on automatically. Select your preferred language in the touchscreen.

Step 2: Download the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet. Follow the steps in the installation menu and log in with your Google account so that you can use voice control through the integrated Google Assistant.

Step 3: Connect it to your television Using the HDMI ARC or optical cable, connect the Citation Bar to your television. Change the sound settings on your television to make sure the sound comes from your soundbar and not from the television.
Citation surround set
- Step 1: because the speakers are surround speakers, it's best to place the speakers at the same distance from the soundbar as your sitting position. Next to or above the couch or chair, for example.
- Step 2: switch on the speakers by connecting them to the speaker and AC power via the power cable. Turn on your Citation Bar. Wait 30 seconds for the soundbar to start up.
- Step 3: on the touchscreen, tap settings - speaker setup 0 pairing - surround setup. The soundbar is searching for the surround speakers. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
Citation Sub

Step 1: Turn on the subwoofer. When you connect the power cable to the subwoofer and AC power, the subwoofer turns on automatically. Select your preferred language via the touchscreen.

Step 2: using the touchscreen of the Bar, Tower, or Adapt, go to speaker setup - pairing - subwoofer pairing. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup. Place the subwoofer close to the Bar, Adapt, or Tower.
