Unboxing of the Remington AS8810 Keratin Protect
You can see that the curling brush is part of the Remington Keratin series thanks to the colorful box. In the box, I find a Root Boost attachment, which looks like a comb and is meant to create volume with. A 40mm brush with just soft bristles, which is very nice if you have thin and damaged hair. And a 50mm brush with hard and soft bristles that's suitable for thick hair.
First impressions
A curling brush is a hair dryer and round brush in one, so I expect to save quite some time in the morning. The first thing I notice is that the curling brush is a lot larger than I expected. The weight is a little disappointing too, because it's more than 1kg. The cord is quite long, which makes it easy to move around the bathroom a little while drying and modeling your hair.
The function
The curling brush has 3 different modes, of which 2 hot and 1 cold mode. The curling brush has a large button that you can use to rotate the brush head to the right or left. This takes some time to get used to, because you'll have to rotate the brush the opposite direction if you work on the back of your head. Once you've got the hang of it, you can easily model your hair.
Dry with Root Boost attachment
I used the Root Boost attachment to dry my hair. This allows you to comb your hair while drying and you create more volume at the root. It took my about 10 minutes to fully dry my hair. That's why I decided to first dry my hair with a regular hair dryer and use the curling brush afterwards. It's quite difficult to switch attachments in between, because these become really hot.
Model with round brush attachments
I used a hair dryer to dry my hair a little before I started modeling. I mostly used the 40mm brush to model my hair. This was done very quickly, because your hair spins around the brush with just a touch of the button. My hair didn't become frizzy and felt really soft, including the strand hanging next to my face. Even my partner complimented me.
Conclusion
I was skeptical about the keratin and almond oil at first, but the result really impressed me. I had a strand of hair that was quite dull, but I could postpone my visit to the hairdresser by 2 weeks thanks to the curling brush. My hair feels soft and doesn't get frizzy after using the curling brush. This curling brush is a must-have for dry hair. The keratin and almond oil make sure it doesn't look and feel as dry anymore.
