First impression
In addition to the OnePlus 11, I found a USB-A to USB-C cable, a 100W fast charger, a SIM needle, and a brief manual in the packaging. The round camera island at the back of the OnePlus 11 stands out right away. The back has a sandstone structure and looks luxurious. I think the device is pretty big. The OnePlus 11 is thin and not very heavy. That makes it comfortable to hold.
Sharp photos, telephoto lens lackluster
With the 50-megapixel standard lens, I can take razor-sharp photos that show a lot of details. When I took a walk during my break, I took a few photos around Rotterdam Central Station. Thanks to the wide-angle lens of the OnePlus 11, I easily took photos of the tall buildings around the Stationsplein. The OnePlus 11 has a telephoto lens with 2 times optical zoom, but I wasn't very impressed. The photos don't get less sharp when you zoom in, which I enjoyed. I would still prefer a larger zoom range with the telephoto lens of this high-end smartphone.
Very bright screen, nice colors
On the large screen of the OnePlus 11, colors look very vibrant. Thanks to the Quad HD resolution, I see many details when I watch a video on YouTube. The screen is pretty big, which is nice when I watch a series on Netflix. I do notice that it's hard to control the screen with 1 hand, due to the size. The screen refreshes 120 times per second, so I notice that movements on the screen like scrolling look very smooth.
Powerful device
You notice by the speed that the OnePlus 11 is a high-end smartphone. I can play 3D games like Call of Duty without the device slowing down. I can also easily multitask. I quickly switch between different apps and I can even use them in split screen. This allows me to create a grocery list in my notes while I watch a video of the recipe on YouTube.
Charge very fast, good battery life
The battery of the OnePlus 11 easily lasts a whole day with average use. I fully charged the battery the evening before and it only ran out the next working day. I mainly listened music via Spotify and sent some messages. When I came home, I quickly charged the battery with the included 100W fast charger. This way, I can fully charge the battery in half an hour. The charging speed is one of the biggest advantages of the OnePlus 11.
Conclusion
The OnePlus 11 is a high-end smartphone and I mainly notice that by the high processing power, the razor-sharp screen, and the charging speed. I'm most impressed by how fast I can charge the battery. The standard lens and wide-angle lens can take razor-sharp photos, but I would have wanted the telephoto lens to have a larger zoom range.
