First impression of the Samsung QN95B
When I visited Samsung, it was a sunny day in during spring. Even though the curtains are closed on these photos, the QN95B was placed next to a large window with a lot of sunlight coming through. Despite the bright light, the image was clearly visible thanks to the high brightness. With a brightness of 2000 nits, images on this TV are pretty much always clearly visible, even when you're sitting in a brightly-lit room. That's the first thing I notice with the QN95B.
High brightness and vibrant colors
The high brightness of 2000 nits doesn't just allow you to always see the image clearly, it also ensures a better display of HDR images. Because of the strong difference between dark and light, there's a lot of room for color details. As a result, the color gamut is very large and I see all the subtle color tones on an image of multi-color fabric, for example. Brightly-lit pieces of the fabric are displayed with vibrant colors, but I also see realistic color details in the shadows.
Strong contrast and deep black levels
The QN95B has mini LED local dimming. This means that there are thousands of tiny LED lights illuminating the image from behind the screen. The powerful processor controls them individually, which allows them to dim with dark parts of the image and light up extra brightly with light parts. As a result, the images have a very strong contrast. I can see an illuminated dish clearly thanks to this, while the dark background is deep black.
Wide viewing angle, sometimes reflections from bright lights
Thanks to the so-called Ultra Viewing Angle, the QN95B has a very wide viewing angle. When I stand next to the screen, I notice that the color representation and the contrast barely change. The anti-glare layer ensures you're not bothered with annoying reflections on the screen as often. When you have bright lights in your house, the reflections might still bother you sometimes. That's because they spread over the entire screen, which causes a rainbow effect. With regular lighting, you'll barely notice this.
Sleek design with the Slim One Connect Box
The QN95B is the only 4K Neo QLED television by Samsung from 2022 that has the Slim One Connect Box. You can connect all your peripherals to this box, while the box is connected to the TV with just one transparent cable. You can also power your TV via the One Connect Box. That way, the setup will look neat. The TV also adds to the minimalist design. The screen is very thin and has a stylish stand. Thanks to this, the QN95B is a real addition to your interior.
Powerful sound that follows the motions in the image
The QN95B has 4 regular speakers, 2 subwoofers, and 2 speakers that are aimed upwards. Thanks to Object Tracking Sound, the sound follows the motions in the image. When a car drives by from left to right on the image, the sound will do the same. It feels like the sound is also coming from above thanks to Dolby Atmos, which reflects the sound to me via the ceiling. I can hear that the audio has a very rich sound, thanks to the subwoofers. Especially when I listen to music or watch a thrilling scene during an action movie. I would recommend a separate soundbar for an even more spatial and realistic audio. Thanks to Q-Symphony, the television combines the sound of the television with the sound of a Samsung soundbar. This allows you to listen to a rich and room-filling sound.
Organized smart platform
The Tizen smart platform looks different than the previous versions. Instead of a row of tiles at the bottom of the screen, the menu is now screen-filling. This provides a clear overview of all the available apps and suggestions for movies and series. The menu responds very quickly, so I can start apps like Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video in no time. Via the smart menu, I can also easily find the Ambient Mode menu. I can choose art, photos, or screensavers and display them when I'm not watching TV.
Energy-efficient, pleasant remote
The Solar One Remote is a pleasant remote with a simple design. Thanks to the limited amount of buttons, the One Remote looks clear and simple. Thanks to the shortcuts, I can start different streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, or Amazon Prime Video with a push of a button. On the back of the remote, there's a solar panel. This will charge the One Remote via sunlight or artificial light, so you'll never have to replace the batteries again.

The Samsung QN95B is a versatile and luxurious Neo QLED television. When you want movies and series to be displayed realistically and you're looking for a TV with a high brightness, the QN95B is a good choice. In a regular environment, the anti-glare layer works well. But bright lights sometimes cause annoying reflections on the screen.
