First impression of the Nespresso Vertuo Creatista
The Nespresso Vertuo Creatista has just arrived. I open the box and take out the coffee machine. The box contains a trial package with various Nespresso Vertuo capsules. That's useful, as I can start making coffee right away. In addition to the capsules, the coffee machine also includes a milk pitcher, water hardness test strip, and cleaning tool for the steam wand.
Make coffee via the physical buttons
To make coffee, I push the lever to the right and open the capsule compartment. This compartment only has 1 button, because the coffee machine detects which coffee it should make. It scans the barcode on the coffee cup and uses the exact right amount of water for a cup of coffee. The Vertuo makes coffee first, than the milk froth. There are 3 buttons above the steam wand, which allow me to choose from 3 different temperatures and 3 milk foam textures. Once I find the right settings, I press the large button and the coffee machine starts frothing the milk.
Froth milk automatically
This Vertuo Creatista has an automatic steam wand, so I can easily make a cappuccino. There are various recipes in the manual for a cappuccino, latte macchiato, flat white, and caffè latte. The manual also states how much milk I should pour into the pitcher. Once the milk is frothed, I can add it to the espresso in my cup myself. After that, the steam wand rinses automatically.
Different coffee capsules
The capsules I use for the Vertuo aren't the same as the capsules for the Nespresso Original. They differ both in size and in shape. In addition, there's a barcode on the side of the capsule. The coffee machine scans this barcode and automatically makes a cup of coffee. With this coffee machine, I can make 4 different cup sizes. I can make an espresso, double espresso, gran lungo, and mug. The flatter the capsule, the smaller the cup size. And the different colors indicate different flavors.
Little maintenance
Maintenance doesn't take up much time. The steam wand rinses automatically after every use. All I have to do after that is wipe it off with a damp cloth. The capsule falls into the capsule container, which I empty when it's full. So all the cleaning I have to do is descale the machine. I can connect the Nespresso machine to the app via Bluetooth. This way, I get guidance during the descaling process. This makes it even easier.

This coffee machine is a good choice for you if you like to drink cappuccinos, latte macchiatos, and large cups of coffee.
