First impression of the Garmin Venu 3
I tested the pink Garmin Venu 3S. This smartwatch is 41mm wide and fits well around my wrist with a 14cm circumference. I can read everything clearly on the bright AMOLED screen, even in bright sunlight. When I boot the smartwatch, I can indicate whether I use a wheelchair. If I choose Yes, I'll get wheelchair-friendly workouts and advice. I think this is very cool and unique. I'm not in a wheelchair, so I didn't test this interface.
Coach on your wrist
With extensive smartwatches, you always receive a lot of information and data about your activities and workout. It can sometimes be difficult to understand what this data means. Garmin has made this easier. After a workout, I receive an explanation about the effect the workout had on my fitness level. I find this useful and clever. Because this way, I can better understand what the best way to work out is if I want to achieve a certain goal.
Sleep score and sleep coach
With the Venu 3, I also get advice about my sleep pattern. Thanks to the new sleep coach function, I can see what my sleep needs are. This depends on my activity, stress level, and body battery. With the body battery, I know how much energy I have throughout the day. If I sleep poorly, my body battery doesn't fully charge. I'm advised to take it easy today. After a stressful day, my body battery is almost empty. Thanks to the sleep coach, I know how much extra sleep I need on top of my normal hours.
Recovery and body battery
Thanks to the Garmin Venu 3, I can learn more about my stress level and energy level throughout the day. This allows me to make sure I don't exhaust myself too much. Even after a workout, I can see how many hours I need to recover. In addition, I get tips on what I should or shouldn't do. After an intensive run, I get a tip to rest or do some light activity. This ensures I don't strain myself. That's good for my sports performance and development.
Conclusion
The Garmin Venu 3 is a versatile smartwatch with a stylish design. I'm impressed by all the new functions of this smartwatch. It measures all my data accurately, and I also receive clear explanations about it. This way, I understand exactly what effect my activities have on my body and health. I recommend the Venu 3 for anyone who wants to know more about how your lifestyle affects your health.
