Expert review Dyson Wash G1
Dyson Wash G1
- The vacuum vacuums and mops at the same time, so it can remove dust, fairs, stains, and food rests from the floor in 1 movement.
- Thanks to the dual mops that rotate in opposite directions, the vacuum can easily lift up dirt.
- The floor brushes automatically clean themselves in the base station, so I don't have to think about it.
- I can effortlessly control the vacuum as the rotating brushes pull the vacuum forwards.
- The base station doesn't blow the mops dry, so they'll be wet for a while in the station.
First impression of the Dyson Wash G1
I can assemble the Dyson Wash G1 vacuum mop with a few clicks, so I can quickly get started. I charge the vacuum in the included base station. After that, I can start cleaning. I notice that the wet and dry vacuum easily glides in front of me. I don't really have to push it. That's useful, as I can clean my floor with little effort. The handle in comfortable, so I can easily control the vacuum.
Dual mops
Thanks to the rotating brushes on the floor attachment, I can vacuum and mop at the same time. These brushes rotate in opposite direction, and I notice that they easily pick up dirt from the floor this way. While I'm gliding over my hard floor with the vacuum, the brushes keep themselves wet. That way, I always clean with a wet brush. A scraper lifts the dirt from the brushes. The dry dirt ends up in the dirt compartment and the dirty water in the dirty water tank.
Thorough cleaning performance
I notice that the Dyson vacuum mop cleans my floors easily and thoroughly. I was curious about how easily the vacuum would lift up coarser dirt. That's why I crumbled up a cookie on the floor. The vacuum lifted up all the crumbs in 1 movement. This useful feature didn't cost me much effort. Thanks to the design with wide brushes, I can clean close to the baseboards. That way, the vacuum mop can also clean the corners and edges and I won't miss any dirt.
Easy to use
The vacuum has a very simple yet complete design. I can see which cleaning setting I'm using on the display of the vacuum. I can also see the battery life I have left here. If the water tank is empty, I can remove it with 1 click. The vacuum stores the clean and dirt water separately. I fill the clean water tank under the faucet and pour the dirty water down the drain. This way, I can easily continue cleaning.
Self-cleaning function
The vacuum charges in a freestanding and compact base station. It doesn't take up much space. When I'm done vacuuming, I use the self-cleaning function in the station. Because the brushes are rinsed here, I don't have to do this myself under the faucet. The station doesn't have a drying function, which is a bummer. Now, the brushes are wet for a while in the station. This might cause some bad odors after a while.
Conclusion
Do you want to clean your floors quickly and easily? This Dyson Wash G1 vacuum is great for you. Because it vacuums and mops in 1 movement, it can remove dust, crumbs, and food rests without any effort. I think the vacuum mop is convenient to use thanks to its simple but clear design. The base station with self-cleaning function takes a lot of work out of my hands. I do think it's a bummer that there's no drying function in the base station, because it can take a while for the brushes to dry.
